Spécialité:

1-Antenatal consultations

It is during the first three months of your pregnancy that your baby’s main organs develop.

Medical support and monitoring are therefore recommended from very early on in your pregnancy.

You will have regular appointments with your doctor and / or Midwife throughout your pregnancy. It is very important that you attend all your appointments so that your baby’s development and your own health can be monitored.

You have the option of having your pregnancy monitored at the hospital (ONE clinic) or privately by a gynaecologist in a private practise. There are also local ONE clinics.

ONE consultations at CHU Saint-Pierre

Prenatal consultations are free of charge (reimbursed by your health insurance, the ONE fund and the CPAS)

These consultations are provided by doctors and midwives from the hospital’s gynaecology and obstetrics department. You will receive support throughout your pregnancy as you plan for the birth of your baby and will have access s to the most effective examinations and treatments.

Pre-conception consultations

If you have a chronic condition, need to take daily medication, or have previously experienced a complicated pregnancy, we recommend that you see a specialist obstetrician before becoming pregnant, so that you can best prepare for your upcoming pregnancy.

Consultation Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU)

The very early stages of pregnancy can sometimes be complicated: bleeding, pain, etc. While these symptoms are not necessarily serious, they can sometimes indicate a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. The Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) is a team of gynaecologists and midwives who will examine you and provide urgent care to ensure you receive the best possible monitoring and support.

High-Risk Pregnancy Clinic

If you are experiencing particular health issues or complications with your pregnancy, you may be referred to our “High-Risk Pregnancy” Clinic, run by our team of experienced obstetricians.

Out-of-hospital car

You can have your pregnancy monitored at a private practise outside the hospital by a gynaecologist or midwife

If you wish, and subject to any additional fees, they may be present at your delivery, provided that the hospital has given prior approval to the doctor or midwife of your choice. You will then receive ‘private’ care.

Aquarelle Clinic

CHU Saint-Pierre offers specialised antenatal care for women in extremely vulnerable situations who have no health insurance.

To help provide a more comfortable welcome for all these babies, you can make a donation to the non-profit organisation Aquarelle:
BE73 001-3596162-60 (tax-deductible from €40)

This service is provided by four midwives in collaboration with ONE / K.G. and the medical team.
