Social Services
Social Services can provide you with valuable support before, during and after your hospital stay. We will do everything we can to ensure your comfort. Our team usually intervenes at your request – whether you are an inpatient or an outpatient – at the request of your family, or at the request of healthcare staff or another organisation.
Our professionals will listen to you and offer confidential advice on:
- Your hospital stay;
- Administrative procedures (health assurance matters, applications for financial assistance, benefits for people with disabilities, etc.);
- Psychosocial support for you, your relatives, and your family;
- Resolving social issues related to your illness to help you regain as much independence as possible;
- Preparing for your discharge from the hospital and organising your return home or, if necessary, your transfer to a care home;
- Contacting medical and social care organisations and support services that will take over your care after discharge.
Contact
- Via the ward nurse;
- At your request or that of your relatives, meetings can take place either in your room or in the Social Services offices;
- Please do not hesitate to inform the nurse in charge of your ward.
